The Village Uplift Society was established with an intention to open Schools & Hostels for the poor, Adivasi needy boys & girls. Late M.S. Kannamwar who was a freedom fighter and did lot of work for the poor and the down trodden, he was appointed Health minister in the former Madhya Pradesh, later on he became as PWD Minister and then the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.  Due to the efforts of Late Kannamwarji  the 3 acres of Govt. land of Rajbhawan Nagpur was allotted to the society where we are presently running Annasaheb Gundewar College, Tidke Vidayala & Jr. College, Jawahar Convent & School, apart from these institution, the main office of the society is also located in the same premises. Dadasaheb Kannamwarji died on 24.12.1963 as Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
